Portraits

These are my first attempts at doing portraits using a fill flash, that is just enough flash to light up the shadowy areas to bring out more detail in a photo that already has enough ambient light. I am still not very good at it but that is why I am in school right?

A fill flash is hard to master. I prefer a reflector to fill the shot. The light can more closely be the temperature of the key.

Megan, this is the first time I've looked at your photo blog. I am so impressed! You've got so much natural talent and you are obviously learning new techniques fast. Keep it up! Love, Aunt Catherine
